On March 7, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed House Bill 14 into law effective immediately. This legislation incorporates into Ohio law the federal tax changes to the Internal Revenue Code which became law since March 15, 2023.

With the U.S. Supreme Court lifting the nationwide injunction on Jan. 23 in the Texas Top Cop Shop case, the Samantha Smith case remains the only and last active nationwide injunction blocking the Corporate Transparency Act and its beneficial ownership information reporting requirement from being enforced.
