Over the last 15 years, Lindsay has worked as an auditor and tax expert in public accounting as well as diving into tax and finance in an industry setting. In addition to her technical skills, Lindsay is involved in a number of committees at the AICPA and SDCPA and joined the AICPA General Council in 2018. She received the AICPA Outstanding Young CPA Award in 2017, is the Vice Chair of the AICPA Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, is the President of the Board at Mary J. Treglia Community House, was named by CPA Practice Advisor as a 2017, 2018, and 2019 40 Under 40 and was recognized as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting by the AICPA and CPA Practice Advisor in 2018, 2019 and 2020.   Lindsay is passionate about finding purpose and leveraging it to positively impact the innovation and success of organizations and the profession at large. He began his career performing high-level financial audits across the country, gaining extensive knowledge and insight into various business practices. Leveraging this experience, Sam transitioned into advisory work, providing strategic guidance to clients nationally and internationally. His expertise extends to working with some of the largest companies in the world, supporting innovative tech growth worldwide. In addition to his advisory role, Sam has achieved significant success in the public accounting sphere. He has led his own CPA firm, growing it from 12 to over 60 employees, and has been involved in two acquisitions. His practical, action-oriented approach focuses on implementing best practices from various industries into the CPA firm model, aiming to create efficient and profitable business operations. Melissa Rodriguez
22. Financial Components of a Law Enforcement Investigation I have spent the past six years as a Forensic Auditor for the US Department of Justice. In that time, I have worked a variety of cases including organized crime., hidden ownership FFLs, contraband cigarette trafficking, arson-for-profit including use of explosives, firearms trafficking, robbery groups, murder, and OCDETF cases. I specialize in the money tracing and money laundering investigations for violent criminals. I am currently working in the Tampa, Florida office; however, I started in the New York City office. Prior to this I was a Criminal Tax Investigator for the Nebraska Department of Revenue. I also worded as a Wage and Hour investigator and state and income tax auditor for the State of Nebraska.
Gregory Saul

OSCPA Legislative Update Greg is a graduate of Capital University Law School (cum laude, 2009) and Knox College (magna cum laude, 2003) with experience in the legal division of the Ohio Auditor of State’s office and at the Ohio Supreme Court. He previously served as Legislative Aide to former state Senate President Pro Tempore Jeff Jacobson from 2003 through 2008. In addition, he holds an Ohio agent’s license for property and casualty insurance, plus life & health insurance, and variable annuities. Prior to joining the Society in 2013, Greg worked at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) as its Member Benefits Program Manager. As OSCPA’s Director of Tax Policy, he is responsible for lobbying state legislators and regulatory officials in the executive branch on tax and general business issues.
