As the April 15 income tax filing deadline approaches, the Ohio Depart of Taxation (ODT) is extending the hours of the personal income and school district income tax phone lines to assist with any last-minute questions. 

Reach the ODT customer service team at 800.282.1780 during the following extended hours: 

• Monday, April 14: 7am – 7pm
• Tuesday, April 15: 7am – 7pm  

Important reminders: 

• Unless taxpayers have a valid federal income tax filing extension, all Ohio personal and school district income tax returns are due by 11:59pm on Tuesday, April 15. 
• Ohio does not have a separate filing extension request form but honors the IRS extension. Remember: an extension to file does not extend the deadline for tax payments. Any extension payments must be made by April 15, 2025.
