1. Keynote - Federal Tax Outlook 2025 Tony Nitti is a Partner in RubinBrown’s Tax Services Group and Partner-in-Charge of National Tax. Nitti is a well-known contributor of tax content to Forbes, as well as a frequent speaker and trainer at seminars and webcasts across the country. He has 20 years of accounting and tax experience, including working in the tax departments of Arthur Andersen LLP, Price Waterhouse LLP, and, most recently, Withum. Tony also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s graduate tax program as well as Golden Gate University’s graduate tax program. Hiring Remote and Mobile Workers: Challenges and Best Practices Sara has over 20 years of experience in federal and state and local tax, servicing both public and private companies in the manufacturing, construction, healthcare, professional services and retail industries. At GBQ, Sara leads the firm’s state income/franchise tax services efforts. In this role, she coordinates the successful completion of all multistate income/franchise tax engagements. Sara focuses her expertise on managing state income tax compliance, Ohio Commercial Activity Tax (CAT) consulting, nexus studies, allocation/apportionment reviews and transactional planning. She also assists clients with municipal income taxes, employment taxes and credits, and mobile workforce tax matters. Prior to joining GBQ, Sara worked within Deloitte’s federal tax practice in Columbus, OH, where she primarily served middle-market clients in the manufacturing and construction industries. Sara was also employed as a Senior Tax Accountant at Greif located in Delaware, OH. While at Greif, she worked extensively in the areas of federal tax compliance, ASC 740, multistate income and franchise tax compliance and state income tax audits. Sara is a former member of the National Board of Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD), where she served as National Board Treasurer. Federal Tax Credit Update As Managing Director of Global Tax Management’s Tax Credits & Incentives Services practice, Jonathan leads the development and delivery of services that help multinational corporations take advantage of available federal, state, and international R&D and related tax incentives to reduce their tax liability. Jonathan has been involved with R&D for more than 20 years in both technical and taxation capacities, bringing a scientific, IT, and business background to GTM’s R&D Tax Credit practice. He has extensive knowledge of U.S. and international R&D tax law, and vast experience dealing with specific issues related to R&D credits and incentives within industries including software, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and energy. He is a global speaker and instructor and has been published in several key industry journals. Prior to joining GTM, Jonathan held several leadership roles with BDO USA, including his most recent roles as the Stamford Office Managing Principal and Global R&D Center of Excellence Leader. He was one of the founding members of the firm’s national R&D tax credit practice, and created, built, and managed BDO’s International R&D Center of Excellence. Jonathan also spent several years with Big 4 firms including Deloitte and PwC. He created and led the R&D incentives practice for Deloitte in Calgary, Canada where his practice focused on technology, oilfield services, and exploration and production. 7. Municipal Income Tax / RITA Update Amy Arrighi has served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) since December 2005. Ms. Arrighi also worked for R.I.T.A. through the early 1990s as a legal assistant/law clerk to the Agency’s then Counsel. Prior to rejoining the Agency in 2005 Ms. Arrighi practiced law for seven years primarily representing local and national financial institutions in the areas of regulation compliance, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and loan workout as well as representing municipalities and other creditors in various collection matters. R.I.T.A. acts as the municipal income tax administrator for over 185 municipalities in the State of Ohio. As Chief Legal Counsel, Ms. Arrighi’s responsibilities include assisting R.I.T.A. and its members in the administration and enforcement of members’ income tax ordinances, including civil collection proceedings, ordinance review, and assisting in Board of Review matters. Ms. Arrighi’s duties also include advising R.I.T.A. management and its governing Board of Trustees on various administrative issues including personnel matters, Ohio Sunshine Laws, security matters and contract bidding and review. Ms. Arrighi received her J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1998 and her B.S. in Paralegal Studies from Dyke College (nka Myers University) in 1992

8. Turn a Sales Tax Assessment into a Refund Steven A. Dimengo is a shareholder in the Akron based law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC. His practice primarily includes consultation and representation with respect to federal and Ohio tax law matters. Mr. Dimengo is routinely engaged to structure proposed transactions in a manner to obtain optimum tax minimization. He is actively involved in representation before the Ohio Tax Commissioner, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals and the Supreme Court of Ohio. He is admitted to the United States Tax Court and the Federal District Court. Mr. Dimengo is a certified public accountant. He received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Akron; his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Akron College of Law and his M.A. degree in taxation from the University of Akron. Scott Fraker
9. Business Tax Fundamentals Scott Fraker is the owner of Fraker CPA LLC, a tax consulting firm. He focuses on serving individuals and closely held businesses by minimizing tax liabilities and exposure through effective tax planning and compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tiffin University. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Ian Brander
10. Global / International Tax Update Ian Brander is a partner at Dyke Yaxley LLC focusing his practice primarily on individuals, computing complex multi-county residency calculations. Based in the United Kingdom, he currently is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, heads up DY USA’s UK/US Personal Tax Department while overseeing the majority of the firm’s 350+ individual clients, and manages a client portfolio of US/UK individuals and businesses. Ian offers a unique qualification to Dyke Yaxley’s clients through his knowledge of a wide range of personal and corporate transatlantic taxation issues plus his understanding of the intricacies of both UK and US tax operations. Ian joined Dyke Yaxley as an apprentice upon completing college. He is a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and member of the Association of Tax Technicians. In addition, he completed the EA qualification in the US and plans to complete the Advanced Diploma in International Tax (ADIT).

11. Ohio Pass Through Entities and Nexus Changes Updated: 8-11-2016 Deb is a member of the firm's tax and legislative affairs groups. Deb represents clients in various state and local tax controversies, including at audit, administrative appeals, and before the Ohio courts. She also assists clients with a variety of federal income tax issues, particularly the research and development credit. Deb successfully led several recent legislative efforts including the Ohio Joint Economic Development Zone and District reform, the House Bill 64 job creation and retention tax credit fix, and various initiatives focused on limiting sales and use tax on certain services. Deb has significant experience in conducting refund reviews and assisting clients with implementing tax planning by working with various client operational groups. Deb has worked with clients in various industry groups but has developed significant experience in the financial services and utility industries. Prior to joining the firm, Deb was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked for 16 years. Prior to leaving PwC, Deb led the Columbus large company tax practice and served as the lead client contact for many Columbus based companies. She assisted clients with a variety of federal and state tax issues including tax planning, corporate restructurings, federal and state controversy, corporate compliance, and financial statement audits. Deb also led PwC's national Ohio case and controversy tax efforts including negotiation of multiple large company audit settlements. Deb utilized her refund review experience as offsets in Ohio and other state audits. Deb handled the legislative analysis for the firm and acted as a national resource for other offices. Deb spoke regularly on client webcasts introducing new Ohio legislation and federal and multistate tax considerations for internal PwC trainings. Deb is a frequent speaker at the annual Ohio Tax Conference and various conferences hosted by the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Ohio Bar Association. Deb served as an adjunct professor at Capital University Law School from 2000-2004. Deb also served as the Co-Chair of the Business Tax Committee of the Columbus Bar Association.
Craig Miller
12. Inside the Cost Segregation Power Play Craig Miller is a CPA and a Certified Government Financial Manager. He is a former Tax Commissioner Agent for the State of Ohio and a former adjunct faculty instructor of accounting and finance at Cleveland State University and Lorain County Community College. Miller is a legislative key person for The Ohio Society of CPAs and served on an AICPA focus panel that recommended exam content for the uniform CPA exam. He serves on the Board of the Northern Ohio National Association of Industrial and Office Properties(NAIOP), and is the Vice-Chair of the United States Green Building Council in Northeast Ohio.
