Ohio Professional Standards and Responsibilities Tiffany Crosby the Director of Learning for the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Founder and President of Petra Learning LLC, a professional training and development company. She previously served as an adjunct faculty at Columbus State Community College teaching Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Auditing. Prior to founding Petra, Tiffany was an Executive Director in the Advisory Risk Practice of Ernst Young, LLP. Tiffany spent 14 years at EY leading various types of internal audit, internal control, finance, and enterprise risk management projects. Tiffany has helped numerous companies define and implement processes and procedures to company with new financial accounting standards and calculate the impact of adoption. Tiffany is a CPA licensed in PA and OH, a Certified Treasury Professional, and a member of the IIA, AICPA, Ohio Society of CPAs, and the American Society for Training and Development. Accounting Standard Update John is a Principal in the Accounting & Assurance Group and a member of the Health Care, Nonprofit Industry, Manufacturing and Distribution, and Mergers and Aquisitions Groups at HW&Co. My specialties include Health Care and For Profit and Nonprofit accounting and assurance issues as well as performing due diligence in mergers and aquisitions. My experience includes managing audits of organizations, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, CCRCs, retail and manufacturing and distribution. I also manage a significant number of HCAP data verification engagements for hospitals.
Karina Kasztelnik
6. The Evolution of CPA Careers in the Age of Digital and AI Transformation Karina Kasztelnik Ph.D. MBA. She holds a PhD Applied Management & Decision Science, with a specialization in Accounting. Dr. Kasztelnik's research focuses on bridge accounting, business management, and applying advanced business AI models. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles in premier and significant influence journals listed in Cabell's Classification Index. She completed the Post-Doctoral Study: Big Data Analytics at Harvard University. She has taught accounting and other business courses for more than ten years in three different modalities: online, hybrid, and on-campus, to which she has brought her over-thirty years of business experience as technical accounting advisor, director of a consulting practice, chief accountant, tax department head, comptroller, accounting manager, CEO, CFO, research director, data scientist, big data analytics director, and VP - commercial banks. Her unusually broad background includes experience in many countries, including Poland, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, and the UK, with positions in public and private sectors as well as with governmental agencies. In 2015 Dr. Kasztelnik played a leadership role for the first historical innovative Excellence of Big Data Analytics project, to identify the risks and red flags associated with yet-undiscovered trends in federal tax audit compliance. In addition, she supported the leadership of the U.S. Treasury research department with her modern data analytics business solutions for the understanding and interpretation of findings to be applied in revising international tax audit practices and finance and tax policies. Her work involved research, analysis, and modeling of diverse organizational data. Dr. Kasztelnik is the 2017 sole recipient of the prestigious Commissioner's Honorary Award Gold Medal from the U.S. Department of Treasury for all work done. Dr. Kasztelnik is the 2021 recipient of the prestigious Research Excellent Award and World-Class Recognition. Dr. Kasztelnik is the 2017 recipient of the prestigious Harvard University project award in the Big Data Analytics. Dr. Kasztelnik is the 2022 nominated for Editor in Chief of the Journal E-Learning and Digital Media - SAGE Pub Ltd. Dr. Kasztelnik develops and applies algorithms and models to key business metrics used to improve operations or resolve business problems in a variety of decision-making settings. She analyzes complex and unstructured data sets, using advanced statistical techniques including machine learning and distributed graph methods, to support data-driven decision-making. She is actively involved in the research, design, and development of data visualization and visual analytics for research and commercial applications for some of the world’s largest companies. Matt Hunt
7. Maximizing Tax Breaks for Small Businesses As ABGi’s National Director of CPA Relationships and Alliances, Matt leads a team responsible for partnering with CPA firms across the country to identify clients that can utilize various specialty tax incentives. Matt works with hundreds of CPA firms across the country and led the firm’s response to Section 174 amortization and its technical implications for ABGi clients. He teaches CPE classes relating to the R&D tax credit, 179D deduction, Section 174 amortization, and has presented on the Future of Tax Incentives. Matt has also spoken at Morgan Lewis’ Research & Development Tax Credit Symposium. Matt has over 20 years in the accounting industry, starting at Grant Thornton, and after leaving, built, and led Internal Audit Departments in both publicly traded and private organizations with revenues ranging from $3 billion to $125 billion. Matt is a CPA and CFE and earned his BS in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University and his MBA in Financial Management and Control from DePaul University.
Michael Glynn
8. Update on Standards for Reviews, Compilations, and Financial Statement Preparation Engagements Same bio 11.13.19-MW Michael P. (Mike) Glynn is a Senior Technical Manager in the AICPA Audit and Attest Standards Team. In this capacity, Mike serves as the staff liaison to the Accounting and Review Services Committee (ARSC). In addition, Mike supports the activities of Auditing Standards Board (ASB) and its subcommittees by assisting members in drafting and deliberating authoritative professional standards and interpretations. Prior to joining the Audit and Attest Standards Team, Mike was a technical manager in the AICPA SEC Practice Section (SECPS). In that capacity, Mike supported the Quality Control Inquiry Committee (QCIC) by participating in deliberations of QCIC cases and participating in meetings with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the SEC’s oversight of the self-regulatory process. Prior to joining the SECPS, Mike was a technical manager in the AICPA Professional Ethics Division. Prior to joining the AICPA in April 1998, Mike worked at Ernst & Young LLP in New York. Mike also serves as a member of the New York State Society of CPAs’ Accounting and Review Services Committee. Mike is a graduate of Pace University with a BBA in public accounting.

Increasing Morale and Workforce Longevity Bio - Andrea is a recognized expert in workforce & talent, and she speaks from a diverse array of work experience: from manufacturing to insurance to technology; from start-up to corporate to nonprofit. She cut her teeth at the Columbus Chamber, an assignment that evolved into working with Columbus2020. She conducted countless BRE—business retention and expansion—visits, interviewing employers about their workforce challenges, connecting them to resources, and recommending solutions to address their talent needs. She then jumped over to the nonprofit side to provide leadership to workforce agencies that serve job seekers. 15. Elder Planning Erin C. Eurenius is delighted to help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families at Butcher Elder Law. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2015. Her passion for elder law stems from her personal experiences with her grandmother, Helen. Erin’s grandmother helped to raise her while living with the family. Around the age of 84, Helen was diagnosed with dementia and a few short years later suffered from a stroke. Erin watched the repercussions of not planning ahead for these devastating occurrences in life. Erin went to doctor’s visits and hospital calls at 3:00 A.M. and visited the nursing home. She saw the guardianship and Medicaid process firsthand. She understands the stress and anxiety that a family can be dealing with during these situations. Erin’s family experiences with her grandmother motivated her to attend law school. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Erin participated in the dual degree program and also has her Masters of Business Administration. Her previous professional career involves working in public and private accounting at the firms of PriceWaterhouse Coopers and RSM McGladrey. Her focus was on tax. Erin is a Certified Public Accountant having obtained her Bachelors of Business Administration with degrees in international business, finance, and accounting from Cleveland State University. She was part of the inaugural Honors Program at CSU. She grew up in the Cleveland area and attended Padua Franciscan High School. Go Bruins! Erin is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Academy of Special Needs Planners. She is also a part-time instructor at Cuyahoga Community College and Polaris Career Center. Erin plans to use her personal experience and legal knowledge to understand your situation and benefit you. Her goal while practicing law is to be a helping hand through the process, easing the tensions and fears that our clients and their families may be experiencing. She will work in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid, asset protection, Veterans benefits, special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. Erin is understanding and compassionate. She will help you and your family prevent mistakes and preserve assets.

18. Social Security: Retirement Update Theresa Busher serves as the public affairs specialist for the Social Security offices of greater Dayton and Springfield. She has worked for the Social Security Administration since 1993, and has experience with all Social Security benefit programs, including retirement, disability and SSI. With her public affairs position, Theresa acts as a Social Security spokesperson, media liaison, and public educator. She resides in the south Dayton area with her husband Ed. They have 2 children in college and 3 children ages 14 to 9 at home. Other background: BA from Miami University in Speech Communication and Spanish.
Kelly Draggoo
18. Social Security: Retirement Update Kelly Draggoo began her career with Social Security Administration in 2009 as an SSI Claims Specialist in Cincinnati. She was cross-trained in 2011 and began processing retirement, childrens, and survivor claims as well. She was recently promoted to her current position as the Public Affairs Specialist for the Cincinnati Metro area where she spends most of her time giving presentations to audiences seeking information about disability, retirement and our online services. Prior to joining SSA, she worked for Hamilton County’s Job and Family Services in Cincinnati for 8 years, so she is also very knowledgeable with public assistance programs, and the interaction between Medicaid and Medicare. Kelly is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She currently serves as a volunteer for the Greater Cincinnati Literacy Network tutoring adults seeking help learning to read. Kelly is a native Cincinnatian living on the west side of town with the greatest cat ever, named Sally Jean.

Update on Standards for Audit and Attestation Engagements Ahava Goldman is an Associate Director with the Audit and Attest Standards team at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (Association). Ahava is the staff liaison for the AICPA Auditing Standards Board and supports their standard-setting activities. Previously, Ms. Goldman was a senior manager on the AICPA Examinations Team where she was responsible for the content and development of all sections of the Uniform CPA Examination. Before joining the AICPA, she worked in public accounting at both local and national firms. She graduated magna cum laude from Stern College of Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Ahava is a certified public accountant in the state of New York.
