HR Law Basics will cover numerous aspects of federal standards including minimum wage, overtime pay, employment of minors, and record keeping.  Other subject matter will include employer requirements for minimum wage and which employees are exempt or non-exempt from overtime pay.  As well, it will examine jobs that are allowed (or prohibited) for underage children based on their age.  

Additionally, this will cover the rules relating to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  FMLA is meant to allow employees to balance the needs of their family against the work obligations.  This information will include how the law ensures that all workers are able to take reasonable extended leaves of absence while also adhering to the rules for FMLA.
