Sign up now: In-person OH|TAX testing for CPAs – Sept. 9 or 11

Written on Aug 7, 2025

The Ohio Department of Taxation continues progress on its multi-phase implementation of the OH|TAX e-Services platform. Following two previous releases, the third round of updates is set to launch in November 2025, expanding the system’s functionality to include additional tax types and enhanced user features.

This phase introduces access to several new taxes within the OH|TAX portal, including Pass-Through Entity and Fiduciary Income Tax, IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement), Severance, MELT (Municipal Income for Electric Light and Local Exchange Telephone Companies), and Alcoholic Beverage taxes. In addition to broadening the tax types available online, this release aims to significantly improve the overall taxpayer experience with a more intuitive interface and streamlined processes.

To prepare for the rollout, the Department is inviting CPAs to participate in in-person testing sessions to preview and provide feedback on the new functionality. These hands-on sessions will be held at the Department’s Northland Ridge Blvd facility in Columbus:

  • Tuesday, September 9 | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 11 | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

These sessions are limited to in-person attendance; no virtual option will be available. Feedback from these events will help inform final adjustments before the November go-live.

The Department encourages eligible participants to attend and contribute to the continued improvement of the OH|TAX platform.
