Sen. Michael Rulli was elected to Congress in a special election earlier this month, replacing former U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson who resigned to accept his new role as president of Youngstown State University.

Separately, Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) was selected by the district’s three Republican Party chairs to be the Republican nominee on the Nov. 5 ballot for the 33rd Ohio Senate District, the seat vacated by Sen. Michael Rulli (R-Salem).
