Ohio has the third-best business climate in America – an improvement of four spots from 2015 – according to Site Selection Magazine.
Last year, Ohio came in seventh overall. The state was fifth in 2014 and second in 2012.
Half of the ranking is based on a survey of corporate site selectors who are asked to rank the states they think are the most business-friendly. Ohio finished 11th in that category. The other half of the ranking comes from an index of seven criteria ranging from state tax burdens on companies to new projects. Ohio was eighth on that list.
Georgia was first for the third straight year, while North Carolina was second.
