Data breaches and scams against tax professionals continue to increase in 2025. The IRS Stakeholder Liaison has prepared a brief live presentation from its Cybersecurity and Data Breach departments to give tax professionals guidance on how to recognize these scams and what to do if you experience a data breach.
In addition to providing resources, speakers will help attendees recognize scams and present some real-life examples.
The presentation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, with sessions hourly starting at 10am. Each session is expected to last for 30 minutes. The last presentation will be at 3:00pm.
No advance registration is needed, simply join the event through Microsoft Teams at the top of the hour.
