On March 12, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine delivered the 2025 State of the State Address during a joint session of the Ohio General Assembly. Speaking before a crowd of legislators and members of the public, DeWine pledged to continue making Ohio the best place in the nation to live, work and raise a family. DeWine highlighted Ohio’s workforce; K-12 education, childcare, youth vision, dental and school-based care and higher education.
The governor emphasized the state’s run of economic development successes, attracting major employers to the state. At the same time, he argued, their job is not done yet.
“We’ve created all these incredible economic opportunities and new jobs in Ohio,” DeWine said. “But now our mission as a state is to act with great urgency and intense focus on filling these jobs.”
