What was it like growing up in Ashtabula, Ohio?
It was definitely a unique experience. All of my friends either went into the military or directly into trades or the workforce. So, I'm one of the few that actually went off to college and it helped that I had the support of my father. It's a great little town, if you know where to go. There are some beautiful places, too. The Ashtabula River is beautiful, there are lots of fishing spots, and we have Lake Erie; that's always a good time.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Sometimes I'll go home to Ashtabula, and we'll go fishing in the spring and sometimes early in the summer. Then, we’ll also go hiking out in the nature parks over there. Here in Cleveland, we have the Cleveland Metroparks which I enjoy. Getting out and exploring nature and getting away from the office to do some outdoor activities is really important to me.
If you could go anywhere on your bucket list, where would you want to go?
I definitely want to see Europe. More specifically, London, Germany, and Spain. I've always wanted to go to Spain. I took four years of Spanish in high school, and I’ve always wanted to use that as a reason to explore Spain.
