This week's CPA of Ohio is Stephanie Pogacnik, CPA, senior accountant at Ciuni & Panichi, Inc.
When did you first know you wanted to be a CPA?
“My parents are both CPAs, so it definitely runs in the family. I figured I would give it a chance in college to see and honestly as soon as I started taking my accounting classes I really enjoyed it. Through my program at John Carroll University where I went to undergrad, I really found that I loved accounting and wanted to be in the public accounting world pursuing a CPA.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I definitely love playing tennis. That is something I have loved since middle school. I did not play in college, but I have kept up recreationally and then in the past few years I have really gotten back into it. Any time I can get outside and play I definitely do so.”
Are there any books, podcasts or TV shows you are enjoying recently?
“I have been reading Humans, which is based on the Humans of New York Instagram account. It’s a cool read with life stories of all different people.”
