This week's CPA of Ohio is Igor Tutelman, CEO and co-founder of PastryNow, LLC.
What inspired you to start PastryNow?
“So one of my close friends came back from a semester abroad in Madrid and the food culture there is so different. So when he came back to the states he had the entrepreneurial fire running through his veins, and he knew that I had an interest in entrepreneurship. So he reached out to me and we started PastryNow, which before the pandemic was essentially a late night delivery place for college students and now we are a software company that saves money for restaurants and food establishments through collective purchasing.”
What are you most looking forward to about being a CPA?
“It’s a culmination of a lot of education and hard work. It’s really an attestation to your work ethic and to what you view as valuable to your own morals and ethics. For me, the CPA is about committing to a way of life that is moral, ethical and helpful to those in your community.”
