This week's CPA of Ohio is Andrew Onslow, CPA, senior associate at CliftonLarsonAllen.
When did you first know you wanted to be a CPA?
“I was business undeclared my first two years in college and trying to figure out which side of business I wanted to go into. It seemed like with accounting you could really understand how business was supposed to work. I could bring that accounting knowledge to any role I was in because I was able to understand the business. I could do anything I wanted in business if I was a CPA. You can’t do that with anything else.”
What has been the highlight of your career?
“At CLA they let us make our career how we want. I get to help with the recruiting aspect, so I head up our campus recruiting. I enjoy going to campus and passing along the information I learned throughout college. Students are trying to figure out what they want to do. So, I would say the highlight has been going to campuses and trying to recruit and bring students in.”
