This week's CPA of Ohio is Adam Levitt, CPA, Investor Relations Analyst at Progressive Insurance.

What do you like to do in your free time?

“When I’m at home I enjoy cooking, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and I also enjoy speaking Spanish. I actually minored in Spanish back in college so that’s something I like to do, whether speaking Spanish or listening to the radio in Spanish, that’s something I try to keep up with.”

What are your favorite places to travel to?

“One of my most unique experiences was my study abroad trip to Nicaragua. It was an experience like no other, it pushed me out of my comfort zone in terms of some of the activities we did. I went sand boarding, which is basically when you hike a volcano and sled down the side.”

Is there any life advice that's really resonated with you?

“Life is about taking calculated risks. Nothing comes without taking risks and it’s important to be able to push yourself and to do things you might not be comfortable with, but it’s also about maintaining a balance between what you’re willing to take a risk on and finding a middle ground for yourself based on your own preferences and where you see yourself going.”
