This week's CPA of Ohio is Kristi Blausey, CPA, senior manager in tax at Whalen & Company.

What do you like to do in your free time?

“I’m a huge sports fan so I like to go to all different types of sporting events. Baseball is probably my favorite and for ten years I was the Boston Red Sox representative for the state of Ohio. In addition to that also just recently became a private pilot.”

“So, the first thing I learned about flying is that you have to be all there and present. And so, I was working a lot and my instructor told me ‘You can’t take work with you. You can’t text a client back, you can’t take a business call, you have to be all there.’ So, it was a hobby that forced me to put down work.”
