(COLUMBUS – September 12, 2018) – On behalf of its more than 27,000 members, The Ohio Society of CPAs has announced its endorsement of Frank LaRose for Ohio Secretary of State.
OSCPA’s 19-member Statewide Endorsement Committee and 15-member Executive Board separately evaluated the candidates before unanimously endorsing LaRose.
“Senator Frank LaRose is a respected legislator who clearly understands the needs of the business community,” said OSCPA President and CEO Scott Wiley, CAE. “We are confident he will build on current Secretary of State Jon Husted’s successes to equip entrepreneurs in our state with the tools they need to easily start a business, which ultimately will contribute to a stronger economy for all Ohioans.”
LaRose, now the Senator for Ohio’s 27th District, has an exceptional voting record on business issues, and OSCPA has enjoyed a positive working relationship with him on tax reform and other key issues related to efficient government operations.
“I’m truly honored to have earned the support of OSPCA and the thousands of professionals they represent,” said Frank LaRose. “Ohio’s CPAs work hand-in-hand with the businesses and entrepreneurs who drive our economy, and I’ll work hard to ensure they have the support they need. As Secretary of State, my focus will be on continuing to modernize the office, put customer service first, and work with the legislature to create an environment where small business can prosper.”
“The expertise LaRose has gained on elections law during his Senate tenure will serve him well as Ohio’s next chief elections officer,” Wiley said. “Further, his track record of working in a bipartisan manner will be an asset as Ohio addresses redistricting.”
OSCPA is proud to officially support LaRose and is confident he will serve Ohioans well as Secretary of State.
