OSCPA member Ann Gabriel, Ph.D., was recently selected to join the State Audit Committee, following a recommendation from the Ohio Society of CPAs.
The State Audit Committee is a five-member committee that assists the governor and director of the Office of Budget and Management in the areas of financial reporting, internal controls and risk assessment, audit processes, and compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
Gabriel is a professor at Ohio University and serves as chair of the Provost’s Women’s Commission, as well as chair of the Faculty Senate Greek Life Committee at OU. She also serves on OSCPA’s Political Action Committee Board of Trustees. Previously, she lent her expertise to the OSCPA Executive Board of Directors and Professional Ethics Committee and chaired OU’s School of Accountancy.
Gabriel was appointed along with Union County Auditor Andrea Weaver.. She will join Ranjan Manoranjan, CPA, an OSCPA member who has served on the State Audit Committee since 2016. Manoranjan is a principal at PRIME AE Group in Columbus and has served on the Political Action Committee Board of Trustees.
