The Ohio Society of CPAs' endorsement program is an important foundation of the Society’s advocacy work. It helps inform CPAs about candidates who listen to and support the concerns of the accounting profession and business community and heightens awareness among candidates about the Society's key issues.
The Society's statewide screening committee evaluates candidates for the respective races on behalf of OSCPA members. Candidates were endorsed based on their responses to our candidate questionnaire on key issues of importance to our profession and Ohio business community. The committee also took into account their voting record, working relationship with OSCPA, background and electability. The Society’s Executive Board separately considered and approved the endorsements.

The IRS issued IR-2025-82 confirming that major payroll and reporting forms — including W-2s, 1099s and Form 941 — will remain unchanged for the 2025 tax year despite the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Federal withholding tables will also stay the same.
