The shift to remote work has opened new vulnerabilities for cyber-criminals to exploit.
“Cyber experts have been scrambling to provide the appropriate security for businesses employing thousands of employees working from home. With employees connecting from a variety of locations and devices, suspicious activity is difficult to monitor, creating more opportunities for hackers to launch attacks,” writes Randy R. Werner, J.D., LL.M./Tax, CPA, in the September/October issue of CPA Voice.
In addition to the measures that companies are taking, it is necessary that employees review their company’s security plan and learn the steps they can take to secure sensitive information.
