CPA Voice: DEI is evolving: Is your company keeping up?

As the talent shortage continues, it is imperative that firms create an environment that the next generation wants to be a part of.
“One powerful way to connect with any job candidate is to show them how the values of your organization mirror those they’re seeking,” writes Andrea Wright, CPA, partner, Johnson Lambert LLP, in the September/October issue of CPA Voice. “For students and young professionals, this increasingly means showing a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.”
Wright notes that firms must embrace policy changes, forge connections with talent, and be transparent in their job descriptions. DEI has evolved, and it is important that firms evolve with it; otherwise, they risk losing top talent.
