What’s next for legalizing sports gambling in Ohio

In May of 2018, the Supreme Court struck down a federal ban on sports wagering and states where it is currently illegal took notice, including Ohio. We spoke to State Sen. John Eklund, R-Munson Township, about his recently introduced Senate Bill 111, which would legalize sports betting in Ohio's 11 casinos and racinos and include online and mobile options. We also spoke with Cassandra Baubie, JD, associate for Hill Barth and King CPAs & Consultants, on what legalizing sports betting could mean for the accounting profession.
