Registration opens for June 10 FASB webcast for private companies and nonprofits

Registration is now open for an upcoming webcast that will provide a semiannual update on FASB’s standard-setting activities pertaining to private companies and nonprofit organizations. The webcast, FASB Update for Private Companies and Not-for-Profit Organizations, will take place on June 10 from 1 – 3:05 p.m. ET. 

Participants in the live broadcast will be eligible for up to 2.5 hours of CPE. While registration is not limited, attendance is limited to the first one thousand individuals who log on. (CPE credit is not available for group viewing of the live broadcast.) 

The webcast will feature FASB Members Christine Botosan and Marsha Hunt. Private Company Council (PCC) Member David Finkelstein, FASB Senior Project Advisor Jeff Mechanick, FASB Supervising Project Managers Jeff Gabello and Jenifer Wyss, and FASB Postgraduate Technical Assistants Jack Krause and Elizabeth Vautier. 

Areas to be covered will include: 

  1. Overview of FASB’s current agenda, status of certain projects 

  1. Other matters related to the FASB’s agenda, such as the 2024 agenda consultation process 

  1. Overview of the reconstituted Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF

  1. Recent discussions of the FASB’s Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC

  1. PCC/private company efforts 

An archive of the webcast will be available on the FASB website after the live event, however, CPE credit will not be available to those who view only the archived webcast.
