ODT to implement new OH|TAX eService

The Ohio Department of Taxation is implementing a new system on Sept. 5, 2023, called OH|TAX eServices.  OH|TAX eServices will modernize how ODT administers Ohio’s Individual and School District Income Taxes.  This new system will offer a secure online “banking experience” which will simplify and enhance our online services.    

The new system functionality includes: 

  • Provides tax preparers the ability to request access to their clients’ information 

  • Web messaging with ODT 

  • Check refund status 

  • File returns, including amending  

  • Make payments 

  • Electronic delivery and viewing notices  

  • Respond to notices electronically 

  • Request and print transcripts and wage statements 

  • Complete Identity Verification 

  • Pilot – 24/7 Chat Bot
