ACAP-Ohio is presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and hosted at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.

Students are introduced to accounting, finance, leadership and management. Local CPAs and business leaders share their experiences and provide tips for success. Students attend workshops, discussions, tours, mentoring sessions, business luncheons and a college fair. The program wraps up with an all-star awards banquet for students, parents, speakers and corporate sponsors where college scholarships and other awards are presented to attendees.

ACAP-Ohio

For parents, guardians, and families

ACAP-Ohio is a tremendous opportunity for your child to spend an enriching week on the campus of The Ohio State University to learn about the opportunities available if they pursue a career in accounting or business. There is no other event in Ohio that provides this specialized programming or access to accounting professionals. ACAP-Ohio is an enriching experience that will help your child make informed decisions about their educational future and professional career path.

ACAP-Ohio attendees will participate in a structured five and a half-day program that has adult supervision at all times. Adult chaperones spend the night in the residence halls with the students each evening and supervise students during the day. Staff and members of The Ohio Society of CPAs and the National Association of Black Accountants will accompany students to all events and serve as guides on all off-campus activities. The Ohio State University has a full-time campus security patrol to ensure the safety of students on campus.

In the event of an emergency and you need to reach your child during the program, you can call The Ohio Society of CPAs at (800) 686-2727 and they can immediately contact a staff person on site.
