High School Accounting Career Days

High School Accounting Career Days are half-day events that bring local high school students together on a college campus to learn about the accounting major and CPA careers. Local CPAs serve as speakers and share insights into the profession and explain the variety of career paths available. College accounting majors encourage students to follow their path and also share advice related to the transition from high school to college.

"This day was awesome!" said Josh from Columbus who attended the High School Accounting Career Day at The Ohio State University's Ohio Union. "I was interested in business before, but now that I know what CPAs do, I definitely want to major in accounting. I want to be as successful as the speakers I met here today."

The events reach college-bound high school students who have little knowledge about the breadth of career opportunities in the profession. Local CPAs share their path to accounting and offer insight into their careers. Students also have the opportunity to learn about the accounting program at the host university, meet faculty and experience the campus.
