Ohio Department of Transportation Advisory Council opportunity

Interested in representing the Ohio Society of CPAs in an impactful way? House Bill 54 requires the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to appoint seven individuals to an Advisory Council, and OSCPA has a seat at the table.  

The OSCPA member will be collaborating with the following six individuals: 

  • The ODOT Director (Chairperson) 

  • A member of a statewide business organization representing major corporate entities 

  • A member of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers 

  • A member of a business organization representing small or independent business 

  • A representative of Ohio Concrete 

  • A representative of Flexible Pavements of Ohio 

The Advisory Council will ultimately recommend a neutral third-party entity to conduct a study of ODOT’s pavement-selection process, approve the entity’s scope of study and issue a final report with recommendations.

This opportunity will require the individual selected to meet with the Advisory Council only once per month until June 30, 2026. OSCPA must appoint our recommended member by July 31, 2025.
