Gifthealth's massive expansion to bring 751 new jobs to Columbus

In a significant boost to Columbus's growing reputation as a hub for health care technology, Gifthealth has announced a major expansion that will create 751 new jobs in the region. This development, approved by the Columbus City Council on Oct. 8, marks a new chapter for the innovative online pharmacy company and underscores Ohio's appeal to forward-thinking tech firms. 

The company's platform streamlines the prescription process, benefiting both patients and health care providers. 

Key highlights of Gifthealth's expansion 

• Job Creation: 751 new positions, bringing Gifthealth's total Columbus workforce to over 800 by the end of 2027 

• Economic Impact: $56.5 million in new payroll 

• Facility Expansion: Lease of a 30,000-square-foot facility in west Columbus for pharmacy distribution 

• Project Significance: Third largest in the history of One Columbus 

• Operations: Expanded from an Ohio pilot program to serving all 50 states
