(COLUMBUS, June 28, 2018) – The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) today announced new Executive Board members for 2019.
In May, the Nominating Committee unanimously recommended Don Mellott, Jr., CPA, of Cincinnati as the 2019 chair-elect candidate. Mellott was installed at the annual meeting and will serve as chair for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
New nominees included Ebonie Jackson, CPA, from Toledo, Jessie Wright, CPA, CGMA, CVA, from Canfield and Chris Igodan, Jr., CPA, from Columbus. All were approved and installed and will serve on the board for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Along with these new additions, Owen Wyss, CPA, will continue as Vice Chair, Finance until 2019. John Venturella, CPA, J.D., will become Chair of the Executive Board and Sandra Richtermeyer, CPA, Ph.D., will become past chair.
“We’re excited about the broad perspective these new Board members will bring to the Society,” said Scott Wiley, president and CEO of OSCPA, “They hail from across the state, and along with existing directors, will continue our efforts to advance the state of business in Ohio and build value for all our members.”
Wiley also outlined the Society’s strategic priorities at the annual meeting, noting the importance of OSCPA’s work in defending needed municipal tax reforms. He concluded by discussing how the Society is evolving to meet members’ learning needs, as well as the work it is doing to build Ohio’s CPA workforce.
