(COLUMBUS – May 31, 2018) – On behalf of its more than 27,000 members, The Ohio Society of CPAs is proud to endorse Dave Yost for Ohio’s Attorney General.
“Dave Yost is a proven leader who will serve Ohio well as its next Attorney General,” said OSCPA President and CEO Scott Wiley, CAE. “His unique skillset allowed him to not only serve as a prosecuting attorney and private-practice lawyer, but also in running a very large public-sector operation and serving as auditor for the State of Ohio for almost eight years.”
OSCPA’s 19-member Statewide Endorsement Screening Committee and 15-member Executive Board separately evaluated the candidates in May before unanimously endorsing Yost.
“We saw firsthand how committed Dave Yost is to protecting public interest – regardless of party politics – while he served as State Auditor,” Wiley said. “He clearly knows when to use a hammer and when to use a velvet glove; we’re confident he will take that same thoughtful, commonsense approach as Attorney General.”
As State Auditor, Yost reached out to CPAs across the state numerous times to better understand the issues impacting them so he could make the best decisions for Ohio’s business leaders. He also worked to circumvent problems by promoting best practices and creating a collaborative database all could access to learn from each other.
