Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP-Ohio)

ACAP-Ohio is presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs, the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.

Students are introduced to accounting, finance, leadership and management. Local CPAs and business leaders share their experiences and provide tips for success. Students attend workshops, discussions, networking sessions, and a case competition where they'll practice the skills they've learned during the week. The program wraps up with an all-star awards presentation for students, parents, speakers and corporate sponsors where college scholarships and other awards are presented to attendees.

Students spend an all-expenses paid week on the campus of The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business

Scholarships

ACAP-Ohio participants have the opportunity to earn one of several college scholarships. All scholarships are awarded based on essays written by students during the course of ACAP-Ohio. The essay topic is provided at the beginning of the program.

For parents, guardians, and families

ACAP-Ohio is a tremendous opportunity for your child to spend an enriching week learning about the opportunities available if they pursue a career in accounting or business. There is no other event in Ohio that provides this specialized programming or access to accounting professionals. ACAP-Ohio is an enlightening experience that will help your child make informed decisions about his or her educational future and professional career path.
