Race intensifies for Ohio’s 26th District

The Ohio House Democratic Caucus is evaluating 11 candidates who applied to replace former Rep. Erica Crawley, D-Columbus, who left this summer to take on a new role as Franklin County Commissioner. The new state representative is expected to be named later this month.

Maya Majikas, outreach coordinator for the caucus, said the next steps in the process will be to name a screening committee and to schedule interviews, which the House Democratic Caucus hopes to complete in the next two weeks.

The applicants are:
