The Accountancy Board of Ohio has again designated today – July 1 – as “Check Your CPE Day.”
Each year numerous Ohio CPA permits are suspended or revoked because CPAs have not met CPE requirements. Don’t be that person: take 30 minutes on July 1 to review your CPE records. (Doing so on another day is OK, too. But don’t forget!)
The CPE requirement for most is 120 credits, with a minimum requirement to earn 20 CPE credits per calendar year. The board is no longer waiving the penalty for failing to meet the annual minimum CPE credit requirement.
Remember: you can track all your CPE with OSCPA’s Transcript Tool, which can be found at MyOSCPA. All CPE you’ve taken through The Ohio Society is automatically tracked there, plus you can upload CPE you take elsewhere to the Transcript Tool to make tracking and reporting easier.
