Diversity, Equity & Inclusion logoOSCPA’s Crossing Bridges DE&I initiatives include learning products, podcasts, publications, pipeline-building programs, and work within its own organization to foster DE&I internally, in the accounting profession and in the business community.

ASAE’s “Power of A” Awards recognize and celebrate the extraordinary contributions associations make to society by enriching lives, creating a competitive workforce, preparing society for the future, driving innovation and making a better world.

OSCPA President & CEO Scott Wiley, CAE, said the award is reflective of The Ohio Society’s efforts over the past year to dig deeper on diversity.

“This recognition is reflective of the effort our team has put in over the past 12-plus months to understand as a profession who we are, and who we serve as a client and community base,” Wiley said. “Our Crossing Bridges initiatives are about our profession’s mission to uphold the public interest and build a talent base that is reflective of the clients and communities we serve. To truly accomplish that, we need to work ensure all who seek the opportunities our profession affords have equal access to them.”

ASAE President & CEO Susan Robertson, CAE, said 25 organizations nationally earned 2021 Gold Awards.

“Congratulations for exemplifying the impact associations have on the industries and professions they represent, and on society at large,” Robertson said. “It’s always so incredibly satisfying to see associations going above and beyond their everyday mission to change the world. We’re very proud to spotlight this award-winning initiative.”
