You may have heard the phrase uttered sarcastically: “I’m glad I learned about parallelograms in high school instead of how to do my taxes. It has really come in handy this parallelogram season.” It’s no secret high school students often lack financial skills that would benefit them once in adulthood. But financial education shouldn’t just be taught in schools, it should start at home.
